We were not going back to Spain until mid-January 2018 so we decided to travel north in the UK, thinking that if we were going to be cold we might as well be really cold!
Our first stop was to visit Lemmy and Michelle in Durham, friends from NABD (National Association for Bikers with a Disability) and marshals at the Bearded Theory festival. They took us to Seaham where we met ‘Tommy’, an awesome sculpture by Ray Lonsdale.

Then we arrived in Scotland at Paul and Julia’s in Duns, having taken a short trip via the Tyne Tunnel and the east coast with a quick stop in Morpeth.
The next day we headed to the highlands through the Cairngorms National Park and the scenery, as well as the snow, was stunning. We finally ended our journey at Lechmelm Holiday Cottages near Ullapoool, our most northerly destination.
